Music of the "Good Ole Days"
Cynthia, It's summer and I am listening every day to 95.7 which is an oldies station out of Bentonville,Arkansas(I live in Fayetteville,home of the Univ. of Arkansas and the coolest place in the Universe).
Anyway, I can relate. I was born in '52 and I love all music,even get into Metal at times(energy!!) I also dig disco and bubble gum. I just adore music. Rap may be my least favorite but I like Will Smith and I get what you mean about the poetry. I guess I am an old fogey. I do like the Ramones. I love "Mad World" by Gary Jules. I am the Beatle freak of the world and I used to live in Memphis and beg my Daddy to let me go visit Elvis when I was about four or five. I like early El the best.
I love girl groups of the sixties and I love Sinatra and the rat pack. I met a young lady the other day who had never heard of Doris Day or Audrey Hepburn(my hero). But I have heard of and love Glen Miller,Bogey etc. from my parents day. Oh,well. It's all in what you focus on,I guess.
