that's true
when fear enters, love loses its grip on reality. then it becomes a game of getting it back and holding onto it.

Avant-garde,
It does seem that fear chokes the love, that it's about feeling inadequate or scarcity, as though there were not enough love to go around.

that's great. i believe that we can express love towards our significant other without believing that they own us. i've found it to be much more rewarding.

I also go with Eric Fromm's seminal work on love,

(The Art of Loving) that love is a discipline, a commitment, and that one decides to love... Paul also indicated in Corinthians that it had a lot more to do with giving without expectation of reward than of any romantic, touchy touchy feely feely sense of wonder. (Lovely, though it is.)

it sounds so simple, but it is so hard to let go when it seems so real.

Avant

sometimes we finally let go thinking we are going to die, and find we have just fallen into the arms of a cushion of love. you are right, thats is all that is, all else is part of the illusion
