Kingmi, I was to take a military hop from Rhein Main to England, where
I was supposed to spend two weeks. I never made it out of Germany. I wound up in the hospital in Frankfurt after it was determined I had hepatitis. My traveling companions kept quiet, hustled me to the hospital, and off they went to explore the sights. Thanks for painting a picture of London for me.

That was an enjoyable autobiography on an episode of your life.

kingmi
Thanks for bringing back memeories, kingmi.  I'd forgotten about the doorstep milk bottles, which is strange as I used to deliver them in my home town.

I remember riding the tubes when we visited London many years ago. Its a memory I was reminded of when watching the horrific news last night.

Kingmi....That was one of the coolest posts I've read .....
You have a very nice style of writing as this column portrays. I loved the story, the point that was made, and the sheer beauty of England.

very nice writing kingmi, I once hopped a fence and stole an orange off
someones tree. It was about 95 degrees outside and I was hungry and thirsty. It was my first trip to Florida and I was young. I had no idea that all orange trees are not sweet. It was as bitter as they come so I was left much worse off than when I started.
