That bridge was happening and would have happened with or without Elvis. I just keep studying Elvis and all I See is one of the most over rated and greatly lacking human even to gain fame. I truly am unable to find any real qualities in Elvis that I would say are worth looking up to. He really did not care for anything beyond himself, of that I have no doubt at all.
We each are entitled to our own opinions though. You are allowed to view Elvis through rose colored glasses.

Kooka, you're way off still concerning Elvis...you sound like those
washed up pro-athletes-turned-drug-addict-turned-inspirational speaker people that used to come talk to us in middle school: being self destructive doesn't make a person bad or trashy. Its probably what makes them an artist. Elvis opened up a bridge between two cultures when we sorely needed that to happen. Not all catalysts for change can come from upper-middle class white suburban neiborhoods where the mother sells real estate by day and the daddy would never dare drink beer out of a can.
But I agree that list of the top 25 is a sad statement on the shortness of the American memory, or even worse our lack of a knowledge of history.

FLIGHTPATH
If you are honestly buying into Bush's load of BS then I feel very sorry for you. Bush does not care one bit about freeing anyone. He is using that as a smoke screen. Right here at home his agenda is to take away our freedoms. It has nothing to do with 'Liberal' propaganda and everything to do with his actions and his motivations.
Stop eating up the lies as if they were vitamins. They are only making you sick. Bush is really doing nothing good right now. He has set things in motions that will only cause more problems, more tyranny and everything will end up in much worse shape. We can not win in Iraq because Bush did nothing at all correct over there. It is not freedom if we have to be there baby-sitting them, and even with us baby-sitting things are not looking good. Bush could have waited and planned it out and done it right, but then he might have lost some of the gain and the American people might have gotten the chance to think things through.
Bush is screwing up everything around the world and in the end there will be no winner form Bush's madness.
That being said, Did you read the post at all? Your comment really seemed to have little to do with what was said in the post.

kooka lives...Despite the liberal entertainment world's many smears on what America is all about, there's a growing global desire for freedom from tyranny and oppression, thanks to loyal Americans and their current leadership.
