We really are.
It can be scary at times in fact.

Glad you like my writing. Too bad you are not some big shot publisher.
I thought I had mentioned some where in there that romance is something that is individual and really should be about making one feel special. I might not have really gone any where with the idea though.

Sis, I can honestly say my wife and I would much rather have dinner listening to our five year old tell his 'jokes' and see the great smile on our two year old, then go to some fancy restaurant without them. For us heaven on earth in spending time as a family. When we have our dates nights we go a little crazy and end up not knowing what to do with ourselves.
We just do not really care for the 'candle light dinner' set up. It would bore us too much.

I don't particularly agree with your position
I feel your entry overlooks that romance comes in many forms. . . , and expending a bunch of money on elaborate staging is but one form.
HOWEVER, that being said, you have a wonderfully smooth style of writing! I'll definitely look you up in the future! Great job!

Good post...I love romance, but friendship can be a very romantic thing,
when two people just share themselves, their souls with honesty, kindness, understanding and acceptance. That sort of connection cannot be replaced with roses, candle light dinners or gifts. However, if two people have the first and add the second to it, well, then you've got Heaven on earth.
