You are definitely a workaholic! Your children leave and you are contemplating cleaning???? How about going out to party instead? *wink*

You'll eventually get used to and even tired of the quiet and loneliness.

ginnieb, Oddly enoughi am in the exact same seat I was in nine years ago
when she left for the divorce.  I still have after school duties, dance chaperoning, giving rides to and from school and work, allowances, etc.  Also, we all live in the same relative area.  This is no trauma here.  just re-adjustment.  The person who is going to need real adjustment is their mother.  She's been footloose and fancy free for four years.  I expect them back any minute.

Empty nested?
I was a mess for almost two years when it happened. I couldn't figure out what my role was! I lost my identity! I still miss my kids but I know they are happy on their own...at least I think they are! Oops..guilt sinking in! Guilt-alert! And..I wondered what G2 meant when she said "can you bring me ten dollars!" Too funny!

Quirky-Alone, true but I keep jerking my head to the door expecting them
