Majroj, It was species, not Joe or Fred, But
It was at the Mount Auburn Cemetery, it's maintained like an arboretum. And the Species are named - both the common name, like Red Oak and the Latin name

Majroj and Katray, it is
amazing how many species on mushrooms RG has documented in this urban refuge. They even have a park ranger at Fresh Pond who told us there are 700 species of trees there AND they are all labeled...

In the Mid-West, my area is a combination of rural and town enviroment. More rural than citified; on my first trip to an actual big city - Chicago, I was astounded by the level of energy and activity swirling around my slow moving form. ;) Never heard of stinky squids, they sound interesting.
