Never give it your second game
I was never the popular nor the smart kid in school. Everyone thought I was stupid, slow, and a lot of other names I won't mention in good company. Two years ago, at the age of 43, I went back to school. I needed to prove to myself I wasn't stupid and all those things. I found out I had been giving my B game all my life based on the opinions of others. I cheated myself out of 25 years to make someone else feel better. I don't do it any more and neither should you. My life has finally balanced itself because I quit fighting it. It feels good!

From an Old Team Player
I was a pretty good football player in my day, nine hundred running yards in seven games, I got hurt before the season started and missed three games. And, because I was a new kid, the coach liked the heck out of me, but the team, well, the team gave me grudging respect, but that's abou it. I reckon it's just human nature to resent someone who excells, and the no score baseball games now days pretty much tells the story, dosen't it?
Good job on the calory burn, kid, I'm in the middle of a reevaluation of my eating habits against my habit of sitting on my behind, my own self. I was on a team later on, in the military, and the guys that excelled mad us all push as hard as we could to keep up. No resentment, just a deep desire to be better. It's rare, but it happens. Keep up the good work.
