In this case, you had to read the manual, but you also had to

Apply common sense to the matter. Much harder. I bought a DVD player recently too. Had always used the PS2 but decided to buy a real one. Since I'm single I had to hook mine up myself.

So I crawled around in the floor, read the manual, plugged cords into places, and finally turned it on. No picture, no sound. After re-checking everythng, I finally discovered that I didn't have the corrrect button pushed on my remote. All my connections were correct.

We don't need no stinkin' men!
