I've written a few posts looking at the need Chrsitians have to be the 'victim'.  It is there and I really have no clue where it is coming from since it is very clear that Christians are still in control of this country.

When did facts and logic have anything to do with blind faith? One of the strongest characteristics of large numbers of Christians today is their pervasive feeling of being persecuted. One that I read recently went so far as to say that the ACLU and similar organizations were playing the same role today with regard to Christians as the Nazis in their holocaust played with regard to Jews. What is happening that causes some people to feel such a disproportionate sense of persecution because of their religion? I really don't think this is what the bible has in mind when it says Christians will suffer tribulation. Everybody suffers tribulation at different points in their lives. Perhaps when your beliefs cannot protect you from the slings and arrows of perspectives that do not match yours, the psychic shock is too much to manage. Something here is very wrong.

believers must have

something to believe in

if they might have to accept that other beliefs are valid

then they almost have to accept that theirs might not be.

believers must have firm beliefs.

they must be right and everybody else must be wrong.

but they just can't live and let live.

they have to try to convince others that they are right because they also h ave to convince themselves.

they cannot conceive of the possibility that not only are they right, but others are also.

all right i think i'll post.

Feel free to call me friend. So far I see no reason why you should not. You seem to be one of those believers who might actually get my points and be able to really look at them with an open mind.
Thank you for your comment.
I really feel like going to take a nap now.

It seems to me that today has been a day of anarchy here on blogit.  Like you, my words were miscontrewed, challenged and commented out with the decency of obliging me with a "...can you explain further."  And the bitter soul is trying to humilate me.  Nope - some people see what they want to see and run with it.  It's pretty sad, isn't it?

I must tell you, I'm a Believer; however, I try to remain opened minded to anyone whose belief or non-belief system is different than mine.  What you said...

"Religious discrimination really is no different than racism, both are of the same mentality."

Well, friend (if I can call you that), you get a big thumbs up in my book.  May not always agree with you, but what would our learning experience be if we were all of the same mindset?
