Nice piece and I agree with Talion's comments. I love that quote about the unexamined live not being worth living and plan on examining and tweaking until they put me in the oven...thanks for the thought-provoking words....it's always good to be reminded.

The search for "completeness" is a foolish endeavor that's impossible to achieve. To believe external forces can provide it is even more ridiculous. To be complete implies the job is done. There's nothing else to do, no more tweaks or changes, no more bolts to tighten, no more improvements to be made. For a person to be complete means he is perfect. Since that's impossible, the only other way to be "complete" is to willingly and knowingly leave the project unfinished, to quit, to give up. As human beings, we are works perpetually in progress. We are forever undone. I think that's a wonderful thing.
