Or they simply don't care, twodog. It would humanize the war. Without

thinking of all the Iraqis being killed (and the estimates I saw in a report today are incredibly -- literally not credible -- low) -- about 2500+ dead and over 5000 wounded -- we are able to see this war as our troops against the insurgents.  Collateral doesn't count.

A statement of gratitude from the first freely elected Iraqi government in recent memory. Folks here tend to forget the bodycount we hear each day, twenty here, twenty-two children there, another dozen back there, are Iraqi's. They are dying everyday, by the tens, twenties, and more, standing in line, to volunteer to fight for their own country. Yep, folks tend to forget that.
