Tigerprincess,
Desert Storm! You mean the murder of humanity that Bush I went over to collect the 4 million dollar bounty for? He had to show the Kuwaits what a good sucker we were! Give them their money's worth! How much of that "blood" money did he donate to the families? You people are either too stupid or just want to pretend you are!

Glennb, On The Ford Mustang Analogy
There you go bud, I told you, I'm a fast draw. I practice every day. I reckon this one is done. Tell you what, why don't you try a differnt shooter. I've got a real fine "Reason" you might like. A friend of mine let me have his "Research" the other day, I'll be glad to let you try her, she's a dandy.
Course, I ain't goona let you have my "Truth," I've had her a long time, and she fits my hand like a second skin. I reckon I'll mosey along now, it really wasn't much of a shootout anyway.
So long Pardner, I'll be in the Long Branch sometime tomorrow afternoon, if you want to try your luck again.

Okay maybe I didn't quite get it, but in Iraq, there was an evil man in power. This man has harmed America before. Desert Storm anyone? After 9/11, we had a president that had to do what he felt best to protect his country, so yes, we should have invaded Iraq. I know people who have been over there fighting, and they've come back and said that we needed to be over there, so yes, Iraq should be on the American agenda.

Twodog,
I will try it this way! Is it the Mustang? Or the hype around the Mustang? Are you saying that Ford didn't make enough Mustangs?

Glennb, Say What?
Now I may have misread you here, I am getting a little old, you know the gray haired thing, and you did say I was febble minded, but, didn't you say "It is no coincidence that the price of oil has tripled since the invasion of Iraq."
Like I said, I may have misread you, but, doesn't that imply, the war on terrorism is the root cause for the increase in the price for a barrel of sweet crude?
And, didn't you also write, "Cause enough chaos in the "Land of oil" to hike the price without drawing suspicion of a wolrd population." I changed the last couple three words, hope you don't mind.
Doesn't that ignor the rapidly expanding economies of India and China, and their increased demand for oil? I mean, the media have done dozens of reports on it. Like I said, Gleenb, 101 Economics, an increase in demand, commands, an increase in price. Like that Mustang Hotrod I was talking about. If more people want it, the producer can demand a higher price, and get it.

Gleenb, You Really Are A Rascal
The price of oil is determined by the demand. It's basic Econ 101. Just like the new Mustang, the biggest selling unit in the Ford inventory. Folks want it, they want it bad, and they are willing to pay the price, around twenty-eight thou for a standard model, in the thirties for a full house GT. Now, oil is just like that hotrod. The more people down at the oil dealership, the more the oil is going to cost. India, and China, have a roaring economy, and, they are down there at the dealership, wheeling and dealing with the new oil salesman, trying to buy that oil before someone else shows up. Now that salesman knows if India and China don't want to belly up to the bar, why, there are plenty of other folks out there just dying to by one of them new oil hotrods, and, they are willing to pay the price.
The thing is, Gleenb, there are only so many oil production plants, and only so man dealerships. They got the hotrod everybody wants, so, they jack up the price to keep the riff raff out of that air conditioned show floor. And, the price goes up. The real problem is, we got the raw material just waiting for someone to plug a hole in the ground or the ocean floor to get it, but, we ain't got the production plants, or the dealerships. That's our fault, and, we should have done something about it years ago. Just think, if we had started drilling on that patch of frozen tundra in Alaska just four years ago, we'd have a few more hotrods, about a million a day, to send to the dealerships, and maybe, just maybe, those other guys might be forced to lower the price of their hotrods to stay in competition.
And that's it, Glennb, basic college Econ 101.
