- Go to Why I Obsess Over the Unfolded Clothes
Talion...
of course you know what you're talking about. And you're right. It is important to know when to lay down the "things to do" list and take up something fun and exciting and totally not on the list. I didn't think you were out of line at all. I just realised that I am always obsessing about the messy house in my blog, and I wanted to clarify why it is such an issue for me.
Thanks so much for reading and commenting!

Such things are important and by no means did I mean to imply they should be scratched completely off the
things to do list. I meant that sometimes it's no big deal if a spotless house isn't at the top. When I wax nostalgic and think about all the wonderful things my mother and aunts did (and continue to do) for me, all the sacrifices they made, how my and my brother's needs were always placed before their own, how much they love me, and the ways it was displayed, how orderly the house was doesn't even register. You said, "...the greatest successes in life come from a disciplined and well-ordered lifestyle." but I beg to differ. That's a boot camp or a military academy. I think the greatest successes in life come from a stable environment, with loving, attentive, firm parenting. Provide that, which you do, and the other details will take care of themselves. Of course, I don't have children, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.
