Good quatrain!!
Mystic
This is very good! Why don't we make that the first quatrain of SONNET III? What do you think?
Now try the couplet. Couplets are easy once you get the knack.

i think i did it:-) let me know: Never done a sonnet in my life
You and Muser have challenged me to stretch myself...thanks, kinda like Justsouno with the bible quiz
I surrender, I pull back, I give me
where are we going, will i know regret
this is truly not myself I now see
laughter, loving, playing, then i will fret.

"seek the lilac"...within a dream
I just added a couple words to Muser's creative thought. I refrain from more input as I don't know the sonnet format and would mess you all up :-) I'm not an educated poet, rather a muse directed one, and my particular muse isn't a stickler for detail, actually she can be kind of loose ended:-)

O.K., I got ahead of myself...next three lines...
Then suddenly you throw the covers back
Oh no! What have I done? I hear you scream
You dress, hair wild, saying, "Seek the lilac..."

I like the new direction, muser... BUT...
don't forget that we need to have end rhymes that are EFEF... gotta stay true to the sonnet form!
I'm a stickler for detail.

Then suddenly you throw the covers back
Oh no! What have I done? I hear you scream
You dress, look back, and say don't follow me...
