Hello, mutyanor! I appreciate your commenting!
I believe that integrity is living true to your own beliefs. It isn't always easy, but stumbling is not a matter for guilt... an over- and ill-used emotion if ever there was one! Failing just means we'll have to try again to get it right. I don't think getting it wrong, not clearing the hurdle, failing is the 'bad thing' so much as giving up.

telynor, thanks for dropping in and commenting!
There were the Puritans who provided the 'seed' energy for the United States, amplified in the Victorian Era which seemed to valdate a lot of the anti-sexuality fundamentals of our culture here.

It is evident, the effect of such seeds, when one looks at what the US culture finds necessary and proper to censor on television-- almost always comes down to obscentiy, a sexual matter-- compared with what is censored from the airwaves in Canada: profanity--the disrespect of God . The US began with thin-lipped Puritans, and Canada with life-loving French Catholic rogues...

One reason that Canadian television is more wholesome, in my opinion!

wonderfully enlightening post, ciel!

I've been having guilty thoughts lately. I know that our merciful God has forgiven me for indulging outside the bonds of marriage and when I "vowed" I would try my best not to "get involved" again unless I'm married, I knew it would be difficult, knowing that I am basically a romantic person.

On my journey back, I know part of what I should be doing is to be grounded, focused on The One so that when the someone that The One designed for me comes along and finds me, we could unite wholly -- heart and mind, body and soul, without ever feeling guilty about it.

Interesting views. Personally, I've never been able to understand how sex can be inheritly bad, and your view fits in nicely with Judaism, where nearly anything is permitted, but the problems are concerned with who you happen to be with. That to me has always made much more sense than the blanket view that most christianity takes that sex is evil, no matter what. RYN: Thanks for the comment. I just found myself really offended by Mr. Cruise's attack and insulting behavior towards those who have mental illness, and decide to go for treatment from a therapist and doctor. They ought to be encouraged and congratulated for having the courage to get help.

Metta, I've never studied tantric yoga but it does seem to relate to this.

this is very much in line with tantric practice, as I understand it... at least the sexual part...  there is a white tantra that has nothing to do with sex, though...

very interesting...

Ciel -
Interesting. I just finished reading a column by a woman who wrote just the opposite. She was writing about what Yeshua would say about sex. Part of her argument for him was that since we are all brothers and sisters, sex with anyone would be akin to incest. This is what my post is going to be about today.
