and who am i to say that how you worship is not perfect for you? it's absurd to think that, unless i dislike myself first.

i believe so. until a healing occurs, the neighbor is a 'split off' portion of my own mind that appears to be outside of and against me. what i attack must attack me, because it is all me.

it's hard to train yourself to think, 'okay. this person's not the problem. it's me.' that's when the problem is soon resolved.

Great thoughts. God has made us very unique and Psalm 139 tells us we are wonderful created and that he has written a book about each of us. As we draw closer to him he will show us what is written in that book. maybe he wrote that some us will be great scientists but we are shoe makers. Let us draw near and find out.

awaken to new choices
I like that! I think your post emphasizes the idea that God gives us each a different mix of family, friends, life experiences, and spiritual gifts. Mix all these together and we have our own unique opportunity to serve God in the way that He intended.

Loving the neighbors is the ideal; it is a state that we should all be striving for. However, at the level of spritual evolution that most of us have attained, we probably should be shooting for respecting and honoring our neighbors. (even if we can't love them) I think that would go along way toward getting us all out of this fine mess we have gotten ourselves into. :P Good post.

until we are no longer, ourselves, capable of hurting
another, knowingly, will we be able to trust our neighbor and not expect the same treatment from them as we fear coming from ourselves?
sorry for my always questioning... it happens when you are working on yourself...
good post.

And it isn't the easiest route, is it?
It's a daily choice and it takes the utmost discipline. But these are the things that matter...

That's the key, isn't it. We hate the neighbors in whom we see our faults. But we can't love them until we forgive and love ourselves.

My neighor to the left
is coo, my neighbor on the right is lame. I don't worship the devil because he is mean.
