You sound angry...

You might want to pick up the book titled Doubt: A History by Jennifer Hecht.  You will find that we "doubters" are among an extremely elite group such as Socrates, Confucus and Einstein (to name a few).

Einstein was asked many times if he believed in God.  He finally answered "I believe in Spinoza's God who reveals himself in the orderly harmony of what exists, not in a God who concerns himself with fates and actions of human beings".

We need to step back, not concern ourself with orgainized religious dogma and simply consider the idea that we are ALL guided by UNIVERSAL MORAL PRINCIPLES which are the basis of ALL the great world religions.

Peace.

  • The Bible speaks of three heavens: (1) the atmosphere surrounding earth, that is, the sky (Acts 1:9-11); (2) space, including our solar system and the observable stars and galaxies (Genesis 1:14-18; Psalm 8:3); and (3) the location of God's throne, from where He governs the entire universe, called "the third heaven" (2 Corinthians 12:2). Solomon said: "God is in heaven and you are on earth" (Ecclesiastes 5:2). In the Bible, the context usually tells us which of the three "heavens" is being discussed.

  • Existing on a higher plane from Earth, Heaven is the home of the Christian/Hebrew God as well as that of His angels. In addition, Heaven is the place where good souls go when they die (or at least those who follow the Christian or Hebrew faiths) No one on Earth knows for sure what Heaven is like except for those angels who are on Earth, and even if an angel on Earth tried to describe Heaven, the words would be wholly insufficient to describe the reality of Heaven.

  • Heaven is the dwelling place of God and for those who go there a place of everlasting bliss. Scripture implies three heavens, since "the third heaven" is revealed to exist (2 Cor. 12:2). It is logical that a third heaven cannot exist without a first and second. Scripture does not describe specifically the first and second heaven. The first, however, apparently refers to the atmospheric heavens of the fowl (Hos. 2:18) and clouds (Dan. 7:13). The second heaven may be the area of the stars and planets (Gen. 1:14-18).
