I don't believe in forcing beliefs on others either, but Scientology
is a really great, very helpful religious philosophy; my whole life has benefitted greatly from it!

This late in commenting but the kids I've known (and adults) who were "diagnosed" with ADD were nothing but normal kids. And I hate to say it but they're parents just didn't want to deal with an active kid. So they got "diagnosed" as ADD and put on drugs that "calm them down". I don't buy into the whole ADD thing either.

A caution about mood altering drugs. Although it has been mentioned, once, twice maybe at each incident, but, if you'll go back to the rash of school shootings, if I remember correctly, all the young people who murdered their classmates were diagnsed with ADD, and long term drug users. There has been little or no research on the long term effects of mood altering drugs on children, and before parents, care givers, allow their charges use mood altering drugs, before doctors prescribed mood altering drugs to children, the whole arena need a lot more research.
And here's one for you, I have read at least a half dozen reports in the previous five years that, ADD is not a legitimate desease, that it was created by a coalition of doctors and the pharmicutical company the originally developed the drug. I know that will create a fire storm of protest from parents who allow their ADD diagnosed kids to take mood altering drugs, but, all I'm doing is quoting at least a half dozen studies that have claimed those results.
