How many of you . . .
. . . are profiting in one way or another from companies that profited from the Nazis, Imperial Japan, or any other regime? If you want the Bush family to be so squeaky clean, you'd better scrub your hands pretty hard yourselves, or you wil lbe as hypocritical as the anti-logging nuts who use paper to publicize their cause, or the anti-oil fanatics who use plastics.

Saul Relative
Well put...The entire Bush history is pretty well known by folks who take their vote seriously, believe in making an educated decision and don't mind digging for the truth that's been burried so deep in bullshit that it makes you feel pretty filthy by the time you find it.  As a writer what I want to know is...why hasn't the press exposed this man's (as Saul put it so well) megolomania?  When I wrote for the papers I was told, "You're not here to make friends, you're here to do a job." I would call on George and Barbara to set their kids straight, but I think they are just as bad.  So I call on the papers to...EXPOSE THE TRAIL OF LIES AND DECIET BEFORE THERE'S NOTHING LEFT OF THIS COUNTRY.  By the way, I've got news for you all...JEB IS GOING TO RUN IN 2008!

Hi Glenn,
I only brought the grandfather into it because of your mention of him in the letter... what is happening in this country right now is in some ways similar to what was happening then... only it was happening in Germany at that time...  Bush has enough of his own to deal with, I agree... we can't change what happened then, but we can change what is happening now... but sometimes understanding what happened in the past can help change the future, if you use the knowledge wisely.

Metta,

There is no need to revisit the history of the Bush Family and Nazism! It is a shame they themselve won't move forward! It is already public record! There is this man in front of us today making misery today! That is the man that I do not want history to have to uncover his dirt. We can do it better today!

Thanks for the read!

You have long abandoned America and are trying to discard it's history for a society where corruptions and lies rule! Help me get this Bush Family out of our lives and watch the Planet flourish!

Metta's comment says it all. It only goes to show that the NUTS don't fall far from the Bush. :)

This Grandfather?  http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story/0,12271,1312540,00.html

George Bush's grandfather, the late US senator Prescott Bush, was a director and shareholder of companies that profited from their involvement with the financial backers of Nazi Germany.

The Guardian has obtained confirmation from newly discovered files in the US National Archives that a firm of which Prescott Bush was a director was involved with the financial architects of Nazism.

His business dealings, which continued until his company's assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act, has led more than 60 years later to a civil action for damages being brought in Germany against the Bush family by two former slave labourers at Auschwitz and to a hum of pre-election controversy.

The evidence has also prompted one former US Nazi war crimes prosecutor to argue that the late senator's action should have been grounds for prosecution for giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

The debate over Prescott Bush's behaviour has been bubbling under the surface for some time. There has been a steady internet chatter about the "Bush/Nazi" connection, much of it inaccurate and unfair. But the new documents, many of which were only declassified last year, show that even after America had entered the war and when there was already significant information about the Nazis' plans and policies, he worked for and profited from companies closely involved with the very German businesses that financed Hitler's rise to power. It has also been suggested that the money he made from these dealings helped to establish the Bush family fortune and set up its political dynasty.....

How did you get so turned off on America. This is home and you're one of us. Why do you hate us so much? What have we done? Or do you just hate everyone?

Excellent post, Glennb. You are right about these two false-moralizing
morons running roughshod over our civil rights and international law.  I have great respect for George H.W. Bush (although his help in the sealing of the deal with Haliburton for logistical control of Iraq way back in '92 pisses me off), so I agree that it may be time for Dad to step in and say, "Enough, boys.  This isn't what you were taught.  Dubya stop be such a megalomaniac and leave the world alone.  Jeb, just be a governor and shut up!  Now, your Mom and I are expecting you for July 4th celebrations, so..."
