Excellent stuff! Also, look for places that offer copywriting services - they're constantly running out of good material,and pay a bit better than newspapers. And places that put out newsletters
And use a portfolio, rather than a resume - one good article in a portfolio can set up your credentials faster than the most complete history of why you can do the job. Include it with your query letter. Found that that works, especially when the selectors have stated something that supposedly rules you out from the regular criteria.
