A lot of people here in London use it.....not just about wind but many things.....I guess its the same as blistering because we say it when we are cold too: " its glistering in the air tonight"....so on....nice to see you back anyhow...did you see my post about you?...LOL....take care

symph
"It starts to rain heavily; the splish splash sounds on the window shelf, a peaceful clatter as well as the dribbles of raindrops dripping down the face of the window, whist I stare watching to see which raindrop wins the sodden race."

This was nice. Placing competitiveness in raindrops - we humans put our imprint on everything :p. This makes the imagery palpable. Well done.

Symph.. .wonderful wordplay.
I've noticed you used this word before and yet I never knew what you were saying, what is glistering? I've heard of blistering wind, or glistening waters. Is it an english word? Just curious. It stops me dead each time.

The dark is scary when it is not an option. The power failure is the worst.
