Hope he comes back to visit soon - he's soo cute!

Taps,
I am so happy to hear that!! I knew it would just take some time.

I can tell she really likes me now.   At first she would only let Mark brush her (she is very sensitive).   Now she seems to trust me.

I am, Taps.
I feel helpless. But hey, how's your kitty doing these days?

So sorry.   I know you are worried about him.

Taps,
Nope. Unfortunately not.

Spitfire, this is a day later.  I don't suppose you have found him and just not told us????

I do love him, Quirky.
Always will. He's my little fly guy. I miss him, too.

Thanks for the hug, Tanool.
I sure need it these days!

Sorry, Mia.
I don't want to make anyone depressed. I just needed to write about it cause, well, it seems to be a running theme of crappy stuff happening in my life for the past month. I sure hope I find him. If I don't, I can only hope that he is content and safe.

Factor,
I can't believe he's gone, either. I keep expecting to see him when I walk into the office. All I find is his empty house. I will go out again tonight to try and find him.

Please do, Symph. And thank you so much.

Thank you, Sweet JJ.
I just hope he nests up high somewhere. Besides, it is all hard to say what he'll do. He did make his "bed" on the highest level of his house, so hopefully....

Rach,
I wish it was Stan. They are so rarely seen cause they're nocturnal. That's why it's hard for me to search for him. I have been out the past 2 nights with flashlights calling his name, but no luck so far.

Thank you so much, HolyG.
I really appreciate that. And Stonci seems to be doing okay these past few days.

OBP,
Thank you. He doesn't have any nesting places around the outside of the house cause he has never been outside except with me. Even then, he would never go more than a foot away from me. It's coming into our rainy season now and I'm beside myself for his safety.

Thanks, Strat.
He is old enough to want to mate, but he doesn't really know how to survive in the wild. I worry mostly cause he's such easy prey. He's no bigger than a medium sized mouse.

I'm heartbroken!
I hope he comes home soon, i know how much you love him.

I can't believe Stan is gone!

Maybe he'll show up again with a squirrelfriend? I just can't believe he's left for good...especially after I just read Offbeat's tale of her alligator friend returning.

Spiffy,

I'm so sorry to hear that.  It does seem strange the way that he disappeared.  Maybe it was hormones on the breeze.  That's about all I can think of that would make him take off like that; unless another critter was in the plants somewhere and freaked him out.  Any full-sized snake would certainly scare him, and you might never see it.

All you can do is keep an eye out.  I've had cats and dogs both disappear until I gave up, then suddenly appear.  Sometimes they get into a neighbor's yard shed to hide and get closed in.  I sure hope he shows up.  Wild animals turned domestic do have a tendency to do disappearing acts.  Sowwy.  Don't feel guilty.  You didn't make any mistakes.    JJ

Odd...
We saw one out in the front yard at dusk tonight!  I of course thought of Stan when I saw him...

Oh no!  I'll cross my fingers that Stan the Man returns and that Stonci is feeling a-okay.

Spiffy
Good grief! Wonder if he is in one of his nesting places around the house? I bet he doesn't go far, home is all he knows. If that should not be the case, and he is roaming free, remember he is a wild critter at heart and you have been a wonderful parent~~(I do hope he comes back though, he's so darn cute)

Young Miss,
I'm so sorry to read that Stan the Man has gone AWOL. Is he old enough to be looking for a girlfriend -- after all, we know hormones play hell with teenagers!

I'm sure he'll be all right, though, whatever happens. And he may well decide that the big wide street is a little too freaky and come running/flapping/ gliding on home. Hope so, anyway.

Take care!
