sheesh darkethoughts
atheists question
they don't want to spread their "belief", which is actually lack of belief in a god that to their mind and mine alike is concocted out of many patches of cloth through several millenia (which has been amply demonstrated time and time again, but which has been ignored for blind faith).
they only want to question the validity of belief.
belief without foundation is empty belief. it is a house built on sand.
storms have raged, questions have been raised. much belief has fallen.
only thing is
it seems the believers still believe that the house stands. they sit in the rubble of a shattered house drunkenly celebrating their sharing of a belief system that no longer works.
thinking people reject it. they see the rubble. they look for a house built on a rock.

Kooka -
More power to you. In my reading of your posts and comments, I see you as one who is comfortable with what he knows about the world and one who loves his family and tries to do the right thing by all. That's all we can ask for of a person, as far as I am concerned. Ultimately, either you will be proven right or those who believe in an intelligence that guides the univers or those who believe that aliens are truly God will be proven right. Doing what is right and good in the moment is the goal.

For some athiests...it is a religion
While I understand how someone could not belive in God, I always find it strange when I meet athiests that are filled with what can only be described as religious zeal. They seen to need to convince everyone else that they are right...and well...like you mentioned about several other religions.
