I'm probably too late with my comment, but I'd be suspicious too, especially if they ask for money or keep hounding you.

Do they not have any opportunities to work from home there for private employers like doctors...doing billings, or transcriptions...something like that? Or doing telephone reception work via a phone installed in your home? A lot of work like that is being outsourced here to people who work from home and is a good source of income for mothers who want to make extra money...and it isn't scam-type work. It runs the gamut from reception to secretarial to insurance claim coding (which is relatively easy to learn)....and if it isn't something you find advertised...perhaps you could be the one to figure out the market and offer it? It saves the employer a lot of money in payroll, benefits, etc., so self-employed people like doctors, lawyers, accountants, etc., are good targets.

I think your instinct not to answer the phone
was on the money. Keep looking till you find something that feels right and never give money or personal info to anyone you are not absolutley sure of.

I would be especially skeptical of this particular add. Absolutely no specifics are given (except of course how much money you can make - which when you think about it, can be done for any job), and the more vague the description the more likely they are looking for an "investment" from you.
Always look for opportunities, but BE STRONG! I would first try to think of something you can do to make extra money, then begin looking for at home jobs that match up.
Thanks for stopping by my Blog

Symph,
Like Passion said, don't ever give money to anyone for a job opportunity. I don't think there should be any harm in calling that number, as long as it doesn't cost you any money to call it. Just be careful.

Do NOT ever give people money to hire you or
To give you information about a job opportunity. Anytime a company wants YOU to give THEM money up front, they are NOT legitimate.
Don't you guys have Day Care Centers in London? All our young here in the US are raised by Day Care Centers.

Sounds like the
Herba Life program. The idea is that you sell their product, but manly you want to sponser others to sell the product of which you get a certain precentage, and so on. If you've ever heard of Amway, it's the same type of setup. Herba Life is a reputable company as far as their products, but these types of programs often only profit thowe at the very top. If it requires selling, then your going to have a hard time doing so from your own home.
Thanks so much for your comment, it relly meant a lot. I too missed you. I'm wishing you the best.

You have to ask yourself if you're willing to do what
the person trying to contact you is doing.

symphony,
There are many types of "work from home". Selling products is the most common. Since you had a telephone response, it rates better than those companies operating only by online correspondence. Most companies would ask money up front for whatever excuse. A genuine company who wants workers should not do that. In sales, they can claim that anyone can earn huge amounts; but of course, the reality is tons of hard work. I have tried some online part time "work" but they bring very little , if any money so I have nothing to recommend for UK residents. Good luck with your search.
Ben.

Yup, as they said...just do not put any of your money into it-
only put your money in if it is a well known, trusted name. And even then, be careful!

Sym ask them everything you're wondering about concerning this job... how will it work with you working from home, will they always contact you? Will there be a contract binding them to you and forcing them to pay you your money? What exactly does this job involve? Any risks from you working from home and maybe having to contact customers from your phone? Will they give you any equipment from their company for you to work with? How do you get paid... etc... and any other questions you are wondering about!
