Great post, RavenDarke. It doesn't take long for anyone with any
intelligence to discern the fact that god (in his myriad forms) has been used to subvert, corrupt, invade, destroy, and kill throughout history. And I totally agree on the virtual game comparison to war. There are hundreds of websites, all the news programs, and all the newspapers who throw numbers up on a daily basis concerning the dead and the wounded on both sides, making casualty figures (and any other comparison figures they may throw in) look like box scores in ball game. Makes it more palatable apparently. Desensitizes us to it, makes it seem less disagreeable. Hey, we lost two guys in Iraq yesterday, honey, but they lost ten! Oh, and the Yankees won by four!
