Factor,
I remember that movie was pretty cute. However, we don't capture them in tanks and containers and stuff.

Mystic,
LOL! Ya know, it's funny cause when I changed my main email address from my spitfire account to my yahoo one, my dad kept sending emails to "ghostbuster70" instead of ghostwatcher70!!

Sorry, JJ.
We have plenty of rat holes down here, but I don't see any coyotes in chains.

Spifffy,
Things seem to be getting moderately out of control here. You better lock vacuuSuck, or whatever you named that thing, into the closet. Ghosts or no ghosts, if that thing is dumb enough to run through dog hooey, it shouldn't be allowed out of the closet unsupervised.
I was thinking of trying to get Ghost Busters for some help here, but I'd have to find El Coyote and get into a ''Yo Soy el más macho'' showdown with him, and none but a fool does that. We're old friends, but he's not going to shine my shoes. You're in control anyway. Grab some of those geeks by the neck and shake them around.

I think just my Aunt Cathey is here now. She's like the Alpha spirit...
Or ghost....which is it again, Spif? She crossed over so she's a .....? Anyway, today they are quiet and I don't even sense them. Maybe they are at Rachel's....uh oh! Or Reni's! I think the gummy bear incident made them hide, I think it was me with a short term memory issue...or some weird combo thing.
Do I like it? I was an only child and grew up always feeling ghosts/spirits around me. I'm used to it and have only once or twice felt something angry or negative. So, this isn't new, just different. I kind of like knowing they feel safe around me and usually it's been a very fun, protective, calming thing. Like a friend...kind of. Like Spitfire says they can be very mischievous, but that has not happened to me like with her....well, not to that degree. They would take things momentarily but always make it clear they were playing. Any other time maybe I just never realized that they broke something or it was gone. I'm not as perceptive on that scale as she is. It hasn't been consistent through my life like with Spif either. She's acted as an amplifier for something that already was happening. Right now I find it very comforting because I can communicate with my Aunt who I miss tremendously, and the other ghosts were playing and not causing harm which brought some levity to my life. If I asked for them to stop, they did. She's right to worry because they might not listen or the next visitor might not be so kind. She's sending me something that will bless my house and I'll get some sage and smudge it. Right now though, it's all about a few laughs and my Aunt Cathey. :)

Spits,
Ya ever do any consulting with Ghost Busters, Inc? Someone told me they went down to Mexico to me with El Coyote and no one has seen them since. What do you think? Has he got them all chained up in a rat hole down there?

Don't worry, Strat.
If he didn't want to leave, he wouldn't. Trust me!! He may actually be emotionally attached to that house and visits it frequently. He may have even taken a liking to you and protects you along with the house cause you take care of it.

OBP,
Yeah, she's liking it so far. But, as far as stuff disappearing, at least rule out all other possibilites first before blaming ghosts. However, yes, they are very capable of moving things and hiding them. Sometimes, they have a message/reason for doing so.

I don't mind him at all, Young Miss. I think he's kinda cool.
He built this house around 1842. It's big enough for everyone to live in happily ever after. I just hope I didn't drive him out, just because I was feeling froggy. After all, it was his house first.

OMG I just read Temple's comment and it makes me wonder
I lost an engagement ring that way. It just <poof> disappeared. I knew where I had been, how long I had been there, every person (me, husband, mom, dad, small child who could not reach it) in the locked house...we searched all over. My husband even went back the next day with a metal detector. Nothing. Gone.

I've had things like this happen to me my whole life.
It just happens that this time it wasn't the people that knew me, but her folks stopping by and some new things happening. It doesn't freak me out, it's how I grew up. At my parents' house it was a frequent thing to have your keys in clear sight on the counter in the kitchen and then walk upstairs, only to come back down only to have them missing. You look everywhere under the sun, then come back in the kitchen to find them right where you left them. The channels on the tv would change, lights would be on when no one turned them on....ALL of them, all the kitchen cabinets would be open. My TV channels change all the time here, even before Heidi and I talked, and even before we talked I had banging noises and other things. Heidi helped me figure out what that was about, and that conversation opened me up to be able to be more sensitive to things, so her folks stop by now. I feel them here. So, I was already sensitive to it which made it easy for them to come by. They probably sensed that. Last night they were making a lot of noise....the mirror in the bathroom was vibrating, things kept falling over....I said, no loud noises, okay? No more loud noises. It's a trip.

Strat,
She
is actually having fun with them!

Why I don't know but it's better than the opposite! Oh, and about your presence, usually if you tell them to leave you alone or go away, they do. Many times, (most) they don't even mean for the living to notice them. It just happens sometimes. Sometimes they are startled by us when we acknowledge their presence cause they didn't mean to be noticed. Often times they like to be acknowledged.

No big deal. She's like you; so she'll have fun with it.
I live in a house that has some presence to it. One night the footsteps started coming down the hall, I was in a real bad frame of mind, and just said, "Don't have time for it, right now, Doc."
They stopped. I hope I didn't banish whoever it was to some weird assed purgatory -- the dude lived in that house before I did. But I haven't heard anything in awhile.

Don't worry Cass, you're safe....
It's because of a specific connection between us, and certain things we have in common. So far, it's just been phone things like I called her house twice in a row....Mark was sleeping and she was outside with the dogs. No one else was home, yet, someone picked up her phone. Twice. I could hear the radio show she had on. I text'd her and said, what's the deal? she called back to apologize for missing my call since she had just called me, but she was outside. Her phone did not say she had missed calls. Then, I called from inside my house on my cell phone...I called my landline to check my voice mail. No one was here but me. On the third ring, voice mail picks up. I was in the bedroom, landline in front room (I was being lazy). I called, it rang twice, and picked up. I said out loud, no no, I need to check my voice mail guys (I could hear the traffic in the other room as I listened on my cell phone)....so I hung up, called back, got my voice mail. There's more, but that's a nibble. :)

Great. As I was about to ATTEMPT to go to sleep about 1/2 hour ago, I realized that the Roomba was vacuuming the dining room (after I had already CHECKED it for any puppy poo or pee) and when I went to empty it and turn it off and LOW AND BEHOLD!! The DEMON PUPPY had taken a crap and the vacuum had run RIGHT through it! KICK ASS! Just after I had thoroughly cleaned it just the other night. Yeah. Puppyhood. What the fuck was I thinking????????!!!!!
