Unfortunately the more unusual taters we have to hit harris tetter and they overprice everything...but yukons are worth it.

Have to try that tater-salad! Maybe tonight, in fact.
I don't have the purple taters, but I have yams and Y-Golds on hand. We can just about always get them here, and where I shop they are .68/lb. It's the Pac NW-- I guess they just roll 'em down from Alaska...
I appreciate quick-fixes in the kitchen, so I always bake several extra taters to use the next day or two.
Thanks for the recipes... I will have to put this in my favorites, I see...
