Hmmmmm.... this scenario sounds......
familiar. If you read my blog "StevieC's Embryonic Journey" (journal) and my "Corporate Burnout" (I believe under Health and Fitness, June 20 and follow up on July 11), you will see that I rather went thru the same thing. Only difference is I got laid off, so I did not have a choice, but that was fine with me. Because right before the layoff, I was on my second leave of absence in two or so years for depression, burnout, stress, etc. And during this last one, I was researching all over the place with regards to writing and typing jobs because I knew that is what I wanted to do. Plus I got a great severence package.
"Do what you love and the money will follow". That line has been around for years and years and has proven to be true. Do not be afraid to let go of one thing to go for another. It sounds like you are working for Corp America, whom I have a great distaste for. They push and pull, and want and want, and drain you till you can't do anymore. And it is true.....you are not working for you, you are working for them and the head honchos at the top.
Do what is good for you, not them. Hell, they could lay you off at anytime anyway, so think of what it is you would really like to do. And keep in mind, that business from home are the up and coming thing cuz folks are just getting too fed up with the big bad world out there.
I'm here if you need to talk.
