I think that man's spritual corruption has been responsible for the attitude that Nature is somehow not worthy of consideration, that it is less important than man. The human ego is the culprit as I see.

so you believe that nature is messed up
because of man's pollution and abuse, more so than because of man spiritual corruption.

I believe that God is al that is. Everything that exists is of God. Nature being God in physical form. Everything that is wrong with the earth has been the direct result of the the refusal of human kind to adhere to the system of cause and effect.(Natures's law, GOd's law)What ever we suffer from Nature is our own doing, not punishment from God.

I agree that God does not get bogged down by emotions
but It is my belief that nature is governed by physical laws that God created, I do not believe that God is nature itself.
nature was corrupted by the sin of man because the LAWS of nature fell sway to an evil manipulation: which is REBELLION.

The fact that our actions have caused climatic changes and those changes will cause tornadoes and other more serious weather phenomenon is a fact. God (nature) works in a cause and effect way, that is just the way it is. God is not punishing. I misspoke when I said God was pissed. What I should have said is that if I were God(and thank God I'm not) I would be pissed. God does not get bogged down by emotions.

I think that is totally illrepresentative of God. THe laungauge of God is Love not tornadoes.
There is an explanation of tornadoes in light of an All Powerful God who is Love...........

That is a scary belief to live with I would think. All those things destroy more innocents than guilty. Such actions do not make sense for a loving God or any being who wishes for justice.

I say my God can be understood
and known. The Bible does not teach otherwise.

you've got good questions son
and I see the Christians so far have not answered them.
they create a god. and then the unexplainable happens where you ask them how can their god be a part of a such a thing.
and they say, "you can't understand."
in other words, god can do anything his wants and we have to accept it because we can't understand.
god can be totally irrational, but the puny mind of man cannot understand that -- because god is really not irrational -- there's a secret plan -- a working behind the scenes -- that we don't understand.
sounds like they might just believe in the Divine Right of Kings (or maybe GWB) too.

Kooka..
God will speak; not with a human voice, but with catagory nine hurricanes, and tronadoes, volcanic errutions and incurable diseases such as ebola, marburg and bird flu.
If we want to hear God speak, we have to shut up and listen. I can tell you; I think She/he/it is really pissed. :(

Selections from Isaiah 40
"Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens?
Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance?
Who has understood the mind of the Lord, or instructed him as his counselor?
Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? . . . ."
"Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust. . . ."
"To whom, then, will you compare God?. . . ."
"Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the earth was founded?
He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy. . . ."
"He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing. No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner do they take root in the ground, than he blows on them and they wither . . . ."
"'To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?' says the Holy One." . . .
"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak . . . those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
From these verses it should be evident to you, Kooka, that in the greater scheme of things, what matters most to God is the individual person rather than which ruler or country is at the top of the heap. I do believe that God works in the affairs of people and nations for His purpose. . . but what matters beyond anything else is His relationship with YOU!

kooka_lives, you have listed several possibilities that come to your mind. You have failed to list the possibility that just perhaps your reasoning, understanding, comprehension are lacking just enough that you can in no way understand the mind of God.
