Also very clever how you precluded the death penalty but not, as I read it, the fighting of a necessary war that may kill people, for those killed in battle are not "put to" death; their opponents would spare them if they laid down their weapons, whereas "putting to" death someone means deliberately killing an unarmed person. Or do I misinterpret you?

Article III (sorry, Commandment) I take as a counterpoint to literalist-fundamentalists who presume to dismiss others' notions of God as though they knew all The Truth. Religion at its best encourages some humility in its practicioners, which is nice because some secularist-humanists betray as much arrogance as religious fundamentalists. It's sad to see religion become anti-humble with people having the nerve to declare with utter certainty someone else's religious views to be false.
