Great, new blog name.

There is the repeated abuse syndrome, the abuser-victim cycle, and many more problems. I used to carry telephone numbers of the various aid agencies to hand out to people like these. Many ask for personal help but I couldn't do it.

Ben.

SYMPHONY, this post makes me a little guilty. I am a "very imperfect" man,
but I'm working real hard to improve myself.

I don't have any personal experience with it, so in a way it is hard for me to imagine...but I do know that you are right, have eloquently described what it must be like for so many.

Thank you.....it is very sad...Justsouno ....thank you for sharing
I don't know why people let it happen...all I can say is maybe they don't like violence and are scared or just don't like to get involved...but it's heartbreaking....I have no idea if she is still with him...I hope she did get out of the relationship but she did leave with him that night..

Symphony this is so tragic. I know. Only those men in the Pub who
didn't respond to help her are sicker than he is. I can not believe people just stand around and let another human being beat up on someone, especially a woman. She has been fully conditioned to accept it as her fault. If some man had sorta left him to crawl from the place he would stop doing that to her. She should run, but perhaps she is too beaten down no to do so. GREAT POST GIRL~~~

Symph,

Very well put, dear.  This sound SOOOOOOO familiar.  I am down to one friend now.  He had sex with or alienated all the others.

The fists haven't started flying yet, but sometimes I think there are worse things.  At least if he hit me I'd have proof of his abuse.

Thanks for posting this.  People should be more aware of the dynamics in abusive relationships.  People can be so insensitive!!

Your points are right on Symphony...
...so sorry that it happened to you too. I use to work at a shelter for abused women and they all had similar stories. Love the photo..you are so cute! :-)

Symphony

Your right of course, most women don't see men like that for the worthless pieces of shit they are until after the fact. To do something like that (slapped 4 times) I would have thought someone would have put his lights out.

On a lighter note..I love the way you picture is..looks like you have a purple halo over your head. Course I already knew you was an angel..

That is correct....nobody will change unless they want too...offering them all you listed would be perfect...

Take care and have a fantastic day...

The least heartless comment (gettit) you can offer is a shoulder to cry on, a tissue to wipe up the tears, an open ear, or a place to go should they ever need it. It is pointless telling people to change because they won't until they are ready to and they may never change
