Terpgirl,
LOL, I only wish GW Bush and his roving band would tear up a hotel room, it would be, dare I say it, almost human?

Now that's FUNNY!

Am I the ONLY person (I was going to say female, then realized it didn't matter) who doesn't think Mick Jagger should be out running around in the daylight?

I remember when Sticky Fingers came out.  They had Mick Taylor with them.  As far as I know, he's the ONLY normal-looking one of the lot.  He didn't stay.  In reality, he was always more of a sessions guy, but the rumor ways Mick Jagger had said he was too ugly to be in the band.  I could deal with that kind of ugly.

That reasonably successful British band is now known as The Rolling Bones.

You have to look at the upside.  The shoes are more comfortable.  And you can eat earlier. :)

Internships.
If all else fails maybe they can hire out to the Stones. I'm sure Mick can use someone to break up his hotel room now that they are too old to do it themselves.

terpgirl..
...before I turned 50 I was asked by a clerk in a dept store..."55?" she said. I asked her to repeat it "55?" was all she said. When I told her I was sorry, I had no idea what she meant she said people 55 and over get a discount that day. I said 'oh no, I'm not even 50'! She blushed..then I kicked myself afterwards...why didn't I just say 'yes!' But I'm not onto this senior's game yet! ;)

I put my brother on my credit card when I was about 25.  He's 7  years younger.  HE started getting all the invites to AARP!  I know it came from a mailing list from my credit card, but I don't know if it's the male/female thing, but they always targeting him for the low cost elder insurance and the like.  I loved to call him up to let him know I had his mail.

Yeah.

Flash forward.  I'm 44 now.  It's not really funny anymore.

As for the discounts.  I used to put together a chart each month---one month local restaurants, one month movie theatres, etc.  I would call each one and ask about discounts, if there was a certain day as most department stores do, etc.  I got the most baffled sounding answers.  It went anywhere from 45-65, if I got a straight answer.  By and large, that standard answer was:  well no one wants to admit to it, so when they ask, we figure they must be the real thing.  In 5 more years, I'll be waiting out front of WalMart on Wednesdays so I can get first crack at the racks.

...I turned 50 last October..still can't believe it..anyway I was sent info from AARP..had no idea who they were and no idea I was considered for membership at 50! I joined though. I'm from Canada so don't know if they have a similar organization but I just didnt' think 50 was considered 'discount age'! Freaked me out! I wonder if the Stones still have their wild side?
