I don't usually agree with your viewpoint, but I will agree with your title statement (expanded) - legalizing abortion IS the worst thing that ever happened to mankind. Most of the data you have is rather circumstantial. It would have happened anyways, even if they had not legalised abortion. There are times when abortion should be performed, but the arguments in the comments are just as reactive as the ones in the article; perhaps more justifications than arguments.

But in the main, as I said, I agree with your premise, even if I don't accept your data to date.

Queenofalot,

Great input and comment! Legalized abortions gave women a healthy alternative to the then status quo! I wish these people would concentrate their moral demagoguery on issues such a war and the destruction of humanity for sport.

They often exclude themselves! Remember Dan Quale and his response to the question of his daughter getting an abortion. Most are hypocrites anyway and have opinions that require no personal sacrifice!

QueenofaLot, I hear you. But in my opinion, God Never Makes Mistakes. For

example, how many people are really positive their fathers are really their fathers? How many have the results of DNA tests that prove their fathers are really their fathers?

I am not going to go into any detail here, but please ponder those questions, for the purpose of determining the message I am sending your way.

This may give you a hint of what I'm driving at: I do not believe that anyone has the right to determine who deserves to live and who does not. In fact, even though I am a staunch conservative, I am opposed to capital punishment -- because as I said, I do not believe that anyone has the right to decide who deserves to live and who does not.

MIGHTY
I do hope you remember the children who curently breathing. Children  from 12 to 17 who have been raped and maimed by their fathers, the family friend, the stranger on the street. The young women who did not have 'casual sex', the women who had 'no choice' in the matter and found themselves with a demon seed growing inside their wounded wombs. Surely you remember not to long ago when men owned us. Thats right it was the law of marital privledge. I was one of those women. My husband could rape me as often and as brutily as he seemed fit. And he did. I was never allowed to take any precautions as to birth control..............yada, yada, yada. I know you may think this is of the past, but it isn't. By law it should be, and perhaps it is, but it matters not to millions of men who still own their women and children. 'Choice' is a blessing. Lets chose not to 'war' instead of chosing to meddle in womens wombs.
