I bet the girls are seeing the new lady as a rival - they probably all have a crush on you of sorts. As for the boys, they are most likely lifting their game in order to impress the new lady. You just can't win can you - lol!

Kingmi - Paul C. just posted again in larger type. Warning, not sure this is as beneficial for students as his first 3 posts, considering language used. Graphic and enlightening, though.

kingmi - Great post - Teaching's not what it once was. Have you seen the new post by Paul C., an Australian teaching in Central China ? He describes in detail, all about it. He's there, in China, now. Your students, too, might enjoy this.

Dear kingmi,
I would take my hat off to you, except I'm not wearing one. You hold my deepest respect. My goal was to become a teacher, but I drowned just before I reached the shore! I scheduled my state testing, but became too sick to attend. I am now only three classes from earning a Bachelor's Degree. All the ele. classes I previously fought through, ( raising five bio.children and fostering sibling groups at the same time) all would have to be repeated to receive my teaching degree because of the time lapse, regardless of my high grades.
I love analogies, personifications and illiterations. How do you spell the word, for the words such as slap, tap, and clap, teacher. The word has the same sound as the action. Onnamonapea. Oh well, I tried!
Yes teacher, I did try to find it in the dictionary, but to no avail.
Teachers like you make a difference!
