Writeroflight,

Was it an oversight? Or did you just forget to include the Earth shattering passages from that speech to hell? I just do not get it! What has Bush done to sustain this level of support from you? There is some sick explaination that defies all laws of civilized conduct!

That he controls the money? Maybe?

Glenn, I'm touched . . .

So nice to know you miss me when I'm away! Yes, as a matter of fact, my work has kept me from writing daily.

I won't chide you for not doing the homework; or did you see the truth and realize the comparison doesn't work in any way, shape or form? If so, then I commend you!

I thnik you'd be hard pressed to find any recent presidents who haven't used speechwriters, so his using them shouldn't be a problem for you.  As for his audience, I seriously doubt that these were "old commies."

To answer your question, which wasn't very specific (speeches by whom?): The foremost example in our time as far as I'm concerned was the Rev. Dr. King's "I have a dream" speech. Pure gold. President Kennedy's "Ask not what your country can do for you" is a strong second.

If you meant solely by President Bush, his speech to Congress following the September 11 attacks comes to mind first.

Writeroflight,

You write this stuff in the form of a question and then disappear for days! Never responding to direct comment about your Post. Do you have a job that keeps you away for days?

George Bush like Ronald Reagan relies on others to write his words for him. He delivers them and forgets what he says. That is the why of his scatter policy. A speach in front of a bunch of old commies does not qualify as memorable! As a matter can you give one speech that has amde a difference on this Planet?

You want specific answers! Give me a specific question! Please the man is an idiot and people that try to march to his tune are "idiotettes"!

That is the only way to describe you people! All 60 million of you!
