Not being experienced in the drug scene, I was shocked when I heard what sounded like a lethal combination for my dad. Your comment was very informative. It is amazing how blind people can be about their own behavior. Those staunch Republicans are the worst.

Morphine and Percodan
No Cynthia - I would not want to share the road with your dad, but living with two recovering heroin addicts who are now on the methodame program, I have done a great deal of research on the opiate family.

People can live a normal life for years on a controlled opiate program as long as they take care of their health with a balanced diet, exercise, etc. I also have a friend who has post polio syndrome, fibramyalgia, chronic psoriasis, you name it and is also taking morphine every day in addition to all of her other medications. She will be on morphine for the rest of her life ( and so will your dad) but she seems to be still amazingly well for all her ailments.

I live on the Mexican border and I like to see anyone try to tell the thousands of our staunch Republican, farm and ranch folk, winter visitors who cross the border to buy prescription drugs over there that it is "UN-AMERICAN" to buy drugs in Mexico. When they leave in March, they will go across to buy a six monthe supply of medications not only for themselves but everyone in their families.

In the 23 years I have livd in Yuma, AZ the town of Aldodones, Baja California has grown from a small, dusty village to a thriving border community of doctors, dentists and pharmicists catering to Americans.
All because of the high cost of health care in the U.S.
