Great read. A few years ago my sister and I were in one of the local parks,
with her grandchildren. We heard a commotion ( Child crying, woman screeching, dog yipping, and other woman screeching).A toddler and a terrier had entangled tethers. The women were trying to 'clean up' the situation. Going to the rescue, I unhooked the child from his leash, the dog from his leash, and gave them both to their respective guardians. I untangled the tethers, handed them to the women and walked away. They were still fussing at each other 15 minutes later. The dog was laying there licking himself, and the boy was sitting on the ground feeding on pebbles, grass ,and leaves; each recovering from their 'encounter'
