The memory of WW II
has not faded away from me. After the war ended in Europe I was on an LCT watching "Hello Frisco Hello" while our Navy pounded away at Okinawa, the Kamikazes were trying to do the same at our big ships, and our Marines were struggling to secure it. It all seems surreal to me now.
