Hi MayB, interesting experiment... people are so easy to boss around.

What a fabulous idea.
I love the idea of leaving books for others to find. I've often done it on a plane. If I finish a book while traveling (as long as it isn't a cherished one) I just leave it on the seat for the next travler. I've come across one or two in that manner as well. I enjoy your writing.

Using wisdom is always good, but

still, I hope you don't leave....Readership has been falling off for months in this place, but still feed the need we have to write. Besides some people take a blogging rest on the weekend.

My the audience is tough today. I had the strong desire and ability to write today. It has been weeks since I felt that way and so I suppose it is disappointing to receive eight readers in four posts but I must forget about readers. They come, they go. Writing is what matters. I have the energy and must use it wisely, perhaps not here.

MayB, it does sound interesting enough to try....
It reminds me of friendship books. The ones people looking for penfriends use.

I actually found one of their books in the loo of my local library last year...but I didn't take it because it did not interest me.

OMG, there is life on Blogit today. Book Crossing Quirky, exactly. That is it. I was behind and only heard of it yesterday

There is this thing called "Book Crossing" that does that, I wonder if this is the same thing? They chart where the books are "released" and where they travel to.

OK, this circle seems small today. Open up

I have heard that some cities do it with bikes, leave them where people pick them up, use them, then leave them for the next person

Word.smith. It would be an interesting experiment. Maybe I should try it with some of the hundreds of books I have

Cool story.

Getting me to part with my books is like trying to pull teeth with thread, nigh on impossible!

John McNab, I understand. Wow, where did my readers go?

MayB
That sounds like an intersting experiment, MayB.   We were supposed to be having a yard sale of books this weekend, but at the last minute I baulked at selling off old friends.  Your blog has decided me to have the sale next weekend - perhaps
