THE LOSS OF LIFE IS A TERRIBLE THING. I THINK WE AGREE ON THAT? HOWEVER SOMETIMES IN THE CAUSE TO CREATE A BETTER WORLD, LIFE IS LOST.
MANY GERMANS WERE KILLED IN WWII TO STOP THE GERMAN KILLING MACHINE KNOWN AS HITLER. IF THE REST OF THE WORLD HADNT STEPPED UP, HOW MANY MORE JEWS, AND POLITICAL PRISONERS WOULD HAVE DIED. PLUS, IM QUITE SURE THAT IT WASNT ONLY GERMAN MILITARY MEN THAT WERE KILLED.
HOW MANY INNOCENT AMERICANS WERE KILLED, ALONG WITH BRITISH MEN IN THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR. THESE MEN WERE KILLED OVER SOMETHING SO FRIVILOUS AS FREEDOM. THE BRITS WERE JUST DOING WHAT THEY WERE TOLD.
HOW MANY LIVES WERE LOST IN THE CIVIL WAR? SHOULD WE NOT HAVE FOUGHT THE CIVIL WAR, OR JUST LET THE SOUTH KEEP THEIR SLAVES.
WE ALL SO WISH IT WAS A PERFECT WORLD, BUT GUESS WHAT? ITS NOT.
SOMETIMES THE MEANS TO COMPLETE YOUR CAUSE INVOLVES DEATH. IT SUCKS. BUT IT JUST HAPPENS THAT WAY.

DamonLeigh, we have stirred up a hornets nest, on that you are right, but we may have saved the world from an even greater catastrophe, I don't know, but it is a most dangerous time for all of us!

For what??
Stirring up the hornet's nest? An illegal invasion of a sovereign territory? Killing 100,000 Iraqis? The deaths of 2,000+ servicemen? Abu Ghraib? Guantanamo Bay?
Get real.
The world will offer the US gratitude when it starts acting in a responsible, sensible, moral and legal way.
Like respect, gratitude has to be earned.
