EHP, I read an article that stated the reason that out brains began to
develop was due to a mutation that would have either given us bigger jaws or bigger brains. I wrote a post sometime back that I felt entwined evolution and creationism. If you want to read it It was entitled...Dear Evolution/creation believers. and it was posted on Friday April 1st. Check it out.

Evolution and religion
Religion is theology. It is so because it is based on theory. There can never be physical proof of non physical exsistance, therefore you must keep faith in what you believe until you "know" it.

Evolution on the other hand is supported by physical evidence and difficult to refute. I suppose that this means that nature(God if you prefer) has given potential to all living things to become something else. Once they have evolved into something else, as in the case of human beings, they usually disrupt the balance and ruin the whole thing. Sort of like what we humans are doing now; maybe evolution isn't such a great thing after all.

pappy
thank you
what i mean is
nobody who's alive knows what lies after this life.
we will only know once we die.

In answer to your comment on sannhet's post about reincarnation. You said we will all know when we die what the answers are. That is your belief and that is fine, but consider this: what if our afterife is determined by what we believe? Is this not the point of most religion? To mold our beliefs so that they will have a real effect on our lives? It is only a small jump to then think that those who belive they will go to heaven will go there; those who believe they will go to hell are also correct; and perhaps those who are not sure will also be unsure of where they are after they die. I prefer to know my answers in advance, thank you, and if I know them because I see them with my eyes or with my heart is a function of my faith.

Painter -
Another great example of evolution at work. Of course, some will shout it is the work of the Devil.

Fascinating . . . .
Perhaps Hobbits were made in God's Image, or, vice versa?
