Great thoughts. Besides the Bible said in Romans 8:28 that "all things work together fo good to those who love God..." He kind of orders the things that happen in our lives, both good and bad. do you believe this?

Elan,
I'm not sure if you meant to hyphenate the word coincidences, but when I thought about it, you could look at all events as co-incidences, meaning they occur in relation to all others. Interesting.

J.King,
Yes, that's true. Thanks for reading.

Well written.. True.. there are no co-incidences. Everything happens for a purpose and with a purpose.

I really liked this.  I do believe everything happens for a reason, and sometimes I think when things first happen, there is a reason, but afterwards, the meanings or lessons that we get from what happened is what is important.
Go easy!

strat,
right, we don't really need to know all the details, we just need to have faith.

I'm not sure you really need to know who did what
to get something out of it. I think you're right -- the trick is distinguishing between something big and just a run of the mill personal crisis.

quetzal,

excellent observations...although I tend to think that it is all "by you" because even if it is "for you"...you still had a hand in it...

live the truth in it with each passing day.  not the small stuff so much, but the big.  often ask myself... has this been created for me?  or by me?  they are two different beasts.  and yet so intertwined.

word.smith,
yes, that's a good philosophy and approach.

tiger, thanks.

Although I didn't say "Everything"--lol...but let's just say, everything "important" happens for a reason.

When things happen, whether good or bad,
I usually try to work through and make the best of the situation. Some things are opportunities for us to grow and I believe that the things that happen to us help us to grow.

OMG. That is completely what happened with my job situation. Last year I was unemployed and I couldn't figure it out becuase I'm reasonably intelligent, and somewhat normal. The only thing I could get was a temp job, However that temp job was what got me noticed by my current boss. Im definatley with you on everything happening for a reason!!!
