Do you like that you have this?

I think I posted in the original column that I spent more than a decade writing for law enforcement where psychics were always suspect...and with good reason.  It has always seemed to me that those who really have a gift are fairly quiet, dismayed then resigned to it.

I don't like that I know some of the things I know.  Still, being empathetic to this point makes me a good reporter.  People tell me things that boggle my mind.  I always hear:  "I've never told anyone this before, and I don't know why I'm telling you."  Most of the time, I know where it's going already.    It's disconcerting many times.  On the other hand, when you can jump into a person's head a bit, it takes some of the pressure off the person.  They have someone who "gets it."  Sometimes that's all people want, and you've given that.

I know what you mean about the office very specifically.  I've been freelance for all but about 2 years of my career.  I've been looking at fulltime/permanent positions recently.  When I'm asked what I'm looking for, I have an odd request that completely baffles the interview, I know.  I take the job description for what it says, so I KNOW what the job offers and whether or not it will fulfill my needs that way.  However, in the day-to-day stuff, I tell the hiring person: I want to work in a place where people are kind to one another and are busy enough that they don't gossip about each other around a water cooler.

That just seems like normal for me, but they look at me like it's some sort of odd request.  I just want peace and harmony.  (Mind you, I've worked in newspaper environments which is unbridled chaos.  I love that.  It's different than backbiting.)

Mirror NeuronsTop Me if You've Heard This
Yes, I too saw this Article on Yahoo a couple days ago, and to my delight I quickly clicked the link, and waited 5 minutes while my 56k connection grinded to a halt.

2 Hours later I finally got to read the article I so patiently waited for. Mirror Neurons are my best friend. I am also Clairvoyant, and an Astral Traveller so I firmly believe that the research is accurate in an untimely fashion.

A perfect example of this is my work enviroment. It is well, disgusting to say the least, it is ver cut throat, greedy, money hungry, two faced, backstabbing, and something to do with cotton candy. I believe that people can (as I) pick up on these emotions more then others, as it is very hard to cope with anything in there. When I leave home I'm in a good mood, however when I step into the 'office' ishMack hits the fan, and I immidiatley feel what the others do.
