actually conservatism is sort of like a rubber band

holding onto its practitiioners

we've spent the greater part of the Twentieth Century moving away from the failed conservative policies of the Nineteenth that were mainly responsible for the Great Depression, only to be snapped back to this whole cataclysm in the Twenty-First.

Wonder what it will feel like when we all hit the past.
