There are those out there that do not appreciate my vicous side, mostly those that have had the opportunity to experience it, friend of those on the receiving end, and wimpy do-gooders that have no backbone of their own~~in that order.

I am a little the same way because if somebody crosses me or betrays me then I will be their worst enemy, I do have a bad temeper when I get going, but I have learned to control it.......you are great whammie...and I love your vicious side

In spite of your hardships, you still managed to maintain your beautiful heart, and to not become completely hardened by those things you wish you could erase from your life. 
I am much the same, in that respect, except that I think my Nature is much more vicous than yours. Maybe it is the Lioness in me (Leo Woman)? If someone strikes me first, I tend to shift into mauling mode.

symphony - you made a very imprtant point
and I hope others keep it in mind. It is important not to be the victim and not to fall into the trap of blaming anyone. Once you reach that point, you know you have strength enough within yourself to be you and enjoy your life. There will always be hardships and bumps in the road but you will get through them and be stronger for it.

Symphony, You have fought very hard, long and successfully. God has some
great prevenient grace upon your life. Yes you keep looking upward and following that look. There are so many who are old and still bitter, living on the streets and hurting but not willing to buckle up and do what you have done. Don't settle for any man in the world that God does not send because he will send you a perfect match for you. You deserve to be blessed. You had better like and love yourself or I will have to play mom and tell you how great you really are. Keep on keeping on it is all worth it.

I refer to them as stepping stones
What we experience while growing up can make us stronger when we are adults. I had a similar childhood and often reflect back on it when making choices with my own kids. Unfortunately some people use their awful childhood to later make others lives miserable or commit horrific acts. You are obviously a smart lady that has chose to use it to your advantage and learn from it.

Hooray for you, SYMPHONY. Not many people can make it through that much stress and come out on the up side. You will though, have to always work at it. One is always either going up or going down in this life. We can never sit back and relax it seems.
