Majroj, and you know how ants move in lines.

Ants with superiority complexes tussling over breadcrumbs.

The debate used to be over the soul of Blogging Network, and now it's just petty "na-na-na-NA-na" stuff.Thre years, ninety dollars or so! (see my profile).

Scoop, as long as we don't take it at all seriously we'll be OK

Talion, I think many people blog to avoid such realities

CarolynMoe, very nice imagery.

Thank you QuirkyAlone. We are all dispensible. I believe that we all need time in the wings so we can really enjoy the spotlight when it is our turn

I will have been here 2 years come August, and I haven't noticed anything untoward.  Doesn't say much about my writer's curiosity, does it?

Agreed. It's swings and roundabouts. And seesaws. And climbing frames. Definitely a playground.

What a great attitude. Personally I know whoever could arrange such a conspiracy certainly has more time on their hands than I do.

It's a mark of good character to be happy for others when they are doing well. Plus I think it's good for you karmically (or bad, if you go the opposite route and cheer other people's misfortunes).

MayB, At the risk of hyperbole, I think we all know that Blogit is teeming with schools of small-minded pirannha's... While some bloggers just peer out of their computer-screened "acquariums" staring like a sucking fish.

scoop
Two years? That means you've earned about a hundred bucks a year. You make more than that in a good week at McDonalds. "You want fries with that?" This reality makes any "conspiracies" even more ridiculous.

It can be a crazy place here, so many come and go
the 30th of this month I will be here two years and I have witnessed so much it boggles the mind.

Talion, I know it is crazy. I am sure it is only a parody--am giving the benefit of the doubt on that one. The other attitude which does not appeal is the "not only must I succeed, but all others must fail and you, none of you, must ever ever criticize me".

ARGUS, sometimes I get irritated here but in the great scheme of life well it fades away

Ca88andra, me too. I just signed in and saw all that stuff earlier

I'm continually bemused by the happenings here that I never even know about until someone blogs about them! I feel like I'm walking around in the dark...

MayB, I couldn't disagree with you
less. It seems like the adult position to take. I have had a fairly heated email dispute with Blogit staff recently, and since then my blogs never (or seldom) get mentioned or featured on the home page. But, as Talion says, why fight over pennies.

The idea that there could be some sort of conspiracy afoot is totally ridiculous. What does it mean? You get a dime instead of a nickel? Funny, I thought we were adults here. The old "not only must I succeed, but all others must fail" philosophy never appealed to me. I don't need to be king of some hill to feel good about myself.

But I do MayB! LOL!
I have heard that travel writign is pretty cut throat. Of course if a free vacation is in the offing I guess I can see that. One thing that I have noticed some places where people are writing AND they actually encourage each other and *gasp* help each other out.
