I came across this article on a tribe, and thought it was a good repost.  I think doctors test the alkaline by saliva or urine.  And yes, some of those foods seemed a little confusing to me.  But it goes back to the Apple Cider Vinegar drink.  They suggest you drink it at least once a day to balance out the levels in your body.  Those guidelines listed are examples of what contains what and how much you should have.  I'm sure it changes based on body types and health issues, but maybe not..  I'll see if I can find more out for you.

I'm confused???

How are acidity and alkalinity determined for diet? This has some things listed as the opposite of what they are from the standpoint of a chemistry point of view... example- citrus is acidic when tested with litmus paper.

This would be worth a try for me to do since having MS, I am influenced by some of the symptoms listed. But the lists of foods don't make sense to me...

Thanks
