strat,
I've never had a shrimp burger, but it sounds good, Keep them away from Hannibal Lecter, though, I hear he eats everything!

Quirky
I'am busting this party...can I still invite other guests? Lol..

posted by Offy on April 25, 2005 at 2:20 PM | link to this | reply

Wow. Thanks for the invite!
Guests, eh? How about Mozart, Jimi Hendrix, William Burroughs, and Owen Meany?

I'll make martinis and shrimp burgers for 1,000. After all, it's a fantasy, right?

Ciel,
Yes, unless we make him wear the "face mask"--lol.

If you seat Charlie and Hannibal next to each other...
well, whoever you seat Hannibal next to, you should probably count parts as they leave...

haha, ya sure do!!

I get by

with a little help from a friend.

:-)

I have tons of books that I look at when the stuff REALLY matters.

I was not sure about warped when I first wrote it and after you spelled it differently I decided to see who was "right" and who was "wrong".

You learn something new everyday, right!?

posted by MariVye on April 22, 2005 at 11:00 AM | link to this | reply

LOL. Spelling comes naturally to me. I may not always know how to spell a word but I can usually tell when one is wrong, then it's a matter of finding out the correct spelling. Grammar however, is more difficult. As for needing "help"...there are lots of books that can help with these things, if one were inclined to study them. But you don't seem to really need that much help.

spelling is not really one of my strengths! ;-)

neither is pronouncing, or grammar, or ....

I need help

Mari, Mental Quirk...yeah, that pretty much covers it. BTW, I knew you were spelling warped wrong but I kept my mouth shut.

Ciel,
True, "charlie" would be best viewed from a distance. Perhaps I should invite Hannibal Lecter and sit them next to each other?

MariVye, yeah, she'd be great.

If I can bring the Dalai Lama and Doctor Who,
I'd love to come to your dinner!  But please seat me far away from Charlie Manson...  got no curiosity to see that guy close up!

I'd invite Katharine Hepburn

Talion!

OMG, I have to go change my clothes, I laughed so hard I had an accident. Thanks for the chuckle!

That's a great idea for a post, imaginary conversations between some of the different twosomes from this list...

posted by Julia. on April 21, 2005 at 9:52 AM | link to this | reply

I'd show up just to hear the conversation between Drew Barrymore and Zeus.
"So, you're the God of Thunder?"
"No, that's Thor."
"Oh."

I could host a fantasy dinner party every weekend for years
and probably still not meet everyone I'd like to. You'd be on the list for the very first one. Thanks for the invite to your bash and Welcome Back!

Um, well,

Hollee, it's okay,
we'll bring them back to life for the party.

Quirkish - I like your list - I would add Sylvia Plath, Virginia Woolf and
Dorothy Parker. And Robert B. Parker, my fave crime writer. And singer Mahalia Jackson.Sadly, only one of these people is still alive.
