yes, this "friend" was like that...nobody told her anything...but with me, I did trust her....but then obviously I shouldn't in the end! but we were friends for years and years...nearly most of my life.......more fool me...huh!

LOL...I've had people do this to me before and I once made the terrible mistake of allowing one of them back into my life...It ended only four months later and although it still hurts, I realize it was for the best because they constantly lie to people who are supposed to be their friend and I just couldn't trust their word anymore.
You did the right thing...

Oh, yeah, trust is an important thing in a friend.
We did have certain friends in high school though where you knew if you told her, everyone would soon know. Therefore we only told her what we weren't afraid to have spread... it wasn't malicious. She just was naturally a talker who did not know how to do secrets...
